Drifting Clouds

All living creatures are... the same body, the same life and the same self, continually passing from form to form, from subject to subject, from existence to existence.

(Coccia, 2021)
Ella Wong is a Hong Kong-based artist who critically examines interconnectedness within urban environments. Her work responds to modern alienation from nature, exploring the complex human-weather-seascape relationship and mirroring unstable urban rhythms. Wong's practice, including "Sound of Sea" (2025) and her ongoing "Drifting Clouds" (2025), translates sensory experiences into visual/sonic languages, mapping personal vulnerabilities and precarious environments. Her works, currently displayed at SHIFTING GROUNDS, Hypha Gallery in London, prompt reflection on our place within unstable and fluctuating rhythms of contemporary urban existence.
